New Photos Posted
July 28, 2008
Many individuals and teams traveled to Uganda this summer. They each offered their unique talents and skills, humble hearts of love and companionship, and valuable time and effort. In return they received a life-changing experience, unforgettable memories, and stories to tell.
They want to share those experiences, memories, and stories with you. We hope that you will take time to visit the photo page and flip through the updated albums to see all that is happening at Restoration Gateway.

Orphan Home Progress
July 22, 2008
The 1st pod of orphan homes is nearly completed! There will be 7 pods of 7 houses each that will become “home” to approximately 400 orphans. With 45 workers on the land every day and several teams from America traveling to Uganda, much progress is being made. Please continue to pray for the completion of these homes and for the orphans who will be living in them.
A playground has also been built near the orphan homes. A team from Waco traveled to Restoration Gateway in June and erected the structure in just 2 weeks! The playground is big enough and strong enough for the workers to give it a go. Most of them had never seen monkey bars, sliding poles or swings! Playing on the playground gave them a chance to live the childhood they were denied.

Water Update
March 17, 2008
Praise God! While drilling for wells last week, we hit water!!! We now have two wells, that are producing 2.5 times the projected need for the life of the project- 12,800 liters per hour. It is so like God to give us exceedingly above and beyond what we think that we need, isn’t it?!
Update from Tim & Janice
March 17, 2008
Dear Family and Friends,
Greetings from Uganda! We pray all is well with each of you.
We have been drilling wells all week that your generous donations and prayers have made possible. The first borehole produced little water and was then totally spoiled when they dropped 53 meters of casing down the 89 meter borehole and could not retrieve it. The second borehole produced 2,800 liters per hour which was half of our projected needs for the life of the project. Then the third borehole was done without extra cost according to our contract if we did not get the needed 5 liters per hour from the first two drills. This third drill produced 18,000 liters per hour, but this was reduced to 10,000 liters per hour because of difficulty getting the casing in. Still with a capability of producing 12,800 liters per hour this is 2.5 times what we need as far as water. We are way blessed and we are so grateful for your part in this huge blessing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We have also been greatly blessed by having one of our workers receive a 25,000 dollar heart surgery for free to correct a critical valve stenosis. He is making an uneventful recovery.
God is sooooooooooooooooo good. Have a great day.
Love,
Janice and Tim
P.S. Please pray that we will know the
best way to store and distribute this water.
